Our world is changing, we as teachers prepares the students for the future, for the unknown… During this workshop we will discuss how we will prepare them for tomorrow by sharing the importance of teaching using the conceptual level in teaching and learning. In this highly interactive workshop, we will challenge your mind and share the structure of knowledge developed by Dr Lynn Erikson and strucutre of process developed by Dr. Lois Lanning. You will watch videos clips of concept-based teachers instructing students in different grade levels and subject areas. You will learn specific, practical instructional strategies that engage the hearts and minds of students. By the end of the workshop you will be able to learn how to write a stand alone concept based unit.
Ali Ezzeddine is an educational consultant and trainer in various educational fields. He is a certified international trainer from Lynn Erickson Institute to lead concept based workshops and international educational consultant for the International Baccalaureate Organization. Ali is an experienced primary educator and fluent in Arabic, French and English. Aside from teaching, he loves children’s literature and he is a published author. He visits schools to lead training, consult with faculty or just to share his writings with the students.
Audience: The workshop is open for all single subject teachers for all grades and coordinators.
