The first few weeks in a new environment can be very unsettling and often bring a tremendous amount of stress for individuals and families.
The aim of this workshop is to help participants understand what culture shock is, how it affects their first experiences and what strategies can be used to overcome this critical step and thrive in the new host country.
This interactive workshop will use real life situations and focus on the participants’ needs.

Over the past 20 years, Monique Pannetier has lived in 9 countries: UK, Sweden, Denmark, Mexico, Canada, Japan, China and Australia, before moving to the UAE, thus experiencing 9 culture shocks. She has worked as a management consultant for global companies in the field of intercultural management.
Monique has trained executives, middle managers and expat families on country specific cultural awareness and on working in a multicultural team programs.
She has also given lectures on cross cultural awareness, in Mexico, Japan and China, in English, French and Spanish.
